Collection of Personal Data
Registration. Each user must register on TalNow’s Platform to become either (i) an independent, freelance expert (“Expert”) to render consulting services or (ii) a business owner or other professional (“Client”) seeking to retain an Expert. For Experts, during the registration process, you are required or requested to provide certain information, such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address, copy of your resume and a LinkedIn profile. You may also provide additional information, such as career objectives, experience, hobbies and other interests. For Clients, during the registration process, you are required or requested to provide your company name, contact information, summary of the proposed project, project budget and due dates for completing the project and/or reaching certain project milestones. This information may be updated and amended at any time after the initial registration. TalNow encourages its users to provide these fields of information so you may maximize the effectiveness of our services.
During the registration process and certain other points when using TalNow’s Platform, you may be asked if you would like to receive information and/or marketing messages from third parties that have products or services which may be of interest to you. If you consent to receiving these messages, we may share your personally identifiable information with third parties to enable them to directly contact you for these purposes.
TalNow abides by federal law and the guidelines set up by the Federal Trade Commission regarding youth privacy. As such, the Company will not knowingly collect any personal information from or allow the registration of young people under the age of thirteen (13) years. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our files.
Cookies and Web Site Information. TalNow may use “cookie” technology and web server logs to collect information about how the Company’s website is used by you and to customize advertising that you may see on our website and other sites with which we have a business relationship. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by your web browser on your hard drive. The cookies allow our web servers to recognize the computer used by you to access our websites. Cookies allow you to move from page to page on our website, remembering the information about the entire session at TalNow’s website. Information gathered through cookies and by our web server logs may include the date and time of visits, your IP address, the pages viewed, time spent at our website, and the websites visited just before and just after our website. This information may be appended to your personal information that you previously provided to help us provide you with better service and information. It also may be collected on an aggregate basis and shared with or collected by third-party web analytics services to help TalNow understand our users’ aggregated website usage patterns and related trends. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cook from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use all portions of the website or all functionality of TalNow’s Platform.
User Communications. When you send e-mail or other communications to TalNow, we may retain those communications to process, respond or improve our services.
Use of Personal Data
Optional Information. At various points during your visit to our website, you may be asked to provide information about yourself. For example, you may wish to participate in a survey. Participation in surveys or the use of other services which require the input of additional information is completely voluntary on your part, and you have the choice as to whether to disclose the information necessary to use these features. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving use of and satisfaction with the TalNow’s website. TalNow may also conduct surveys on behalf of Clients and other parties to provide them marketing and business information; provided, however, none of your personally identifiable information will be shared as part of such surveys without your consent.
Sharing of Information
Sharing of Information with Experts and Clients. By registering on TalNow’s website: (i) Experts authorize TalNow to share their personal information with Clients, including, without limitation, your contact information, name, location, work history, skills, previous work feedback and any other information we have been provided or collected; and (ii) Clients authorize TalNow to share their personal information with Experts, including, without limitation, job budget, location, history of such job listing, client feedback, ratings and any other information that we have been provided or collected. TalNow further reserves the right to share aggregate demographic data and related usage information with its business partners. Such aggregate information will not contain any personal information that can identify any individual user.
Other Third Parties. In addition to the sharing of information described above, by registering on TalNow’s website, you authorize TalNow to allow third parties to contact you and share personal information about you (such as contact information and other information about you) with third party service providers (including payroll and IT service providers), data aggregators, advertisers, marketers (possibly in the form of list rental) and others. We also may share your information with third parties when: (i) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; (ii) investigating fraud that has already taken place; (iii) enforcing or applying existing terms of service and/or other agreements; (iv) protecting the rights, property or safety of our websites, our users or others; or (v) responding to subpoenas, court orders or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, as further described below.
Disclosure to Law Enforcement and Similar Disclosures. TalNow reserves the right to release your personal information if required by law, in connection with a subpoena, or in the good-faith belief that such action is legally required. We may share your information with law enforcement officials or governmental agencies: (i) in response to their request; (ii) when permitted or required by law; or (iii) to establish our compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations or guidelines.
Sale or Merger. In the event that TalNow sells, assigns or transfers some or all of its business to a successor or acquirer, TalNow may sell, assign or transfer all of your information, regardless of your opt-out status, to such successor or acquirer. The Company also may decide to retain a copy of the information post-sale or transfer.
Our Data Security Procedures
TalNow has security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse and/or unauthorized alteration of information you provide to us or that we collect. You are the only user authorized to update your profile, unless you provide your login/password information to another party. We will assume that anyone who has the required login/password information for your account is you, so please keep this information confidential.
TalNow helps protect personally identifiable information by utilizing both online and offline security methods, including firewalls, passwords and restricted physical access to the servers where your information is stored. Our staff is trained to comply with our security procedures, are bound by confidentiality and our security procedures are reviewed and revised periodically.
We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, account ID or login password in any non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. We advise you not to respond to any such inquiry and promptly report any such correspondence. If you ever have any questions as to whether an e-mail or telephone call originated from TalNow, please contact us.
Updating Your Information
You can update your personal information directly on our website or by following the instructions included in any e-mail message you receive from TalNow. If you are experiencing problems with updating your information, contact us at email@example.com, and we will try to resolve your problems.
Do Not Track Signals
Various web browsers offer you an option to send a signal to websites you visit not to track you – so called Do Not Track Signals (“DNT Signals”). TalNow may use third-party ad servers and retargeting services, such as Google, to provide advertising on our sites and to provide us the ability to display advertisements to you when you have left our site. TalNow does not respond to DNT Signals as it does not track you when you leave our website. TalNow’s third-party service providers, who provide ad serving and retargeting services to TalNow, may not respond to DNT signals. If a user comes to our website directly with a DNT Signal enabled on such user’s browser, we do not look for such DNT signal or respond to it.
Unless we receive a deletion request, we will retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary and useful for operational purposes.

Disclaimer. TalNow provides and shares information created both by TalNow and by third parties. While our Platform strives to provide accurate information and while TalNow conduct its own diligence on Experts and Clients, TalNow’s business model inherently requires that it rely upon certain information from third parties. TalNow makes no representation (express or implied) as to the suitability of an Expert, a Client or a Project.
Modifying Privacy Choices and Opt-outs. TalNow users are given the opportunity to “opt-out” of having their personally identifiable information used for purposes not directly related to TalNow’s services. You may opt-out from receiving specified types of communications from TalNow at any time. TalNow will only communicate with you according to your listed preferences. To opt-out of third party communications, you will need to contact the applicable third party.
